Ma Bowman Records was the first name given to Ma Bowman Music by Bowman Enterprises, Inc. the parent corporation. Several meetings were held under the Ma Bowman Records name until the formation committee recommended that the name be changed to the current Ma Bowman Music, to closer associate the trend in packaged music from the old pressed record platters, to the new CD and MP3 formats.

Bowman Enterprises, Inc., the parent corporation, held a special meeting to vote the formal change from Ma Bowman Records to Ma Bowman Music. The motion was carried and the new division's name became Ma Bowman Music and the web site address changed from (www.mabowmanrecords.com) to (www.mabowmanmusic.com).

Ma Bowman Records and (www.mabowmanrecords.com) are currently being held for future use. Should an expansion of Ma Bowman Music be desired, Ma Bowman Records will have first consideration.
